Question:

I'm looking for stickers on a clear background. Scrapbookers use them so the sticker blends in to the paper.?

I know you can find them at Joann's and Michael's, but if I were shopping online, say ebay, how would I know if the background is clear or not? What are these stickers called? What companies make them? I've searched for "Clear stickers" "clear scrapbooking stickers" and it's just horrible, there's no way to tell from the picture because I don't know what search terms to use. Please help! Or is this hopeless and I can only be sure if I shopped in person?

  1. Wow   funny you asked this ..

yesterday I went to a dollar store ( you know those stickers can be very expensive ) and I bought 6 packs of them there

check one or two of these stores or even call them to see what they carry as far as scrap booking materials

Hope you can find some at a reasonable price !

  2. if i were you, i'd save myself the hassel and just go get them myself. you can get them at dollar stores too.

  3. I suspect what you're describing is Clear Laminating Plastic Sheets.

There are two kinds, the kind for laminating objects like ID Cards - which requires a heating appliance. Then there is the self adhesive kind that scrapbook collectors use in place of covering their oddbits with ordinary clear plastic cover sheets.

You can find Self Adhesive Laminating Plastic in Most Good Stationary stores, or in Graphic Arts supply stores. One brand is simply called "Clear Seal" which comes in packets of 4 sheets in 4"x6" or 9"x13".

    Good luck sweetie, take care!!
