I'm looking for wedding decoration ideas?

I'm not trying to have a them wedding or anything but my fiance and I are Dallas Cowboys fans. I'm looking for subtle ways to include the colors or the star without making it look like it's nothing but a cowboys wedding. Any ideas? My bridesmaids dresses are going to be blue and the vests are going to be silver. Any ideas on how to keep it classy but include small touches of cowboys? Centerpieces, etc

  1. The groom's cake can reflect the interest in the Dallas Cowboys. Talk to a cake decorator about what can be done.

Have your bouquets handwrapped with blue and silver ribbons.Allow the ribbons to drop with love knots tied in them.

    Wear star-shaped earrings in silver.

Serve star-shaped cookies iced in blue and white with silver dragees.

Serve sugar cookies shaped and decorated like Cowboys' helmets.

  2. I catered a wedding in blue and silver once. I did the Navy blue color with silver accents. For example, the centerpieces on the tables were clear glass hurricane candle holders on top of a mirror tile, with a silver pillar candle inside (silver pillars can be hard to find though). I draped a bit of Navy blue satin material around the base of each of these and tucked the edges of the material under itself so you could not see the edges (it pools the material and looks really pretty). Then, I sprinkled silver heart/star confetti on the material and around the candle holder. It was gorgeous when the reception was going on and the lights were low. The confetti reflected the flames. I've actually done this in several different weddings (different color schemes, of course). You can get the mirror tiles at Home Depot or Lowe's. There are like 5 or 8 in a box and are really inexpensive. You can get the hurricane globes, confetti, and candles all at a place like Garden Ridge/Old Time Pottery/Michael's. It can be really inexpensive. If you can't find silver or Navy pillars, just use white ones.  This was a popular decorating scheme with the brides I worked for. I have even used this idea on the buffet tables. Good luck!
