  1. Dieting is hard for me to, its the motivation that keeps you going. I have been dieting for the past three weeks. I just think of my body will look or how I want it too look. So when I want to dig into food, I just remind myself dieting will be worth it. Some say stick a picture of yourself up and look it, and this will motivate you. But for me I just keep reminding myself it will be Worth it, and how my body will look.

    Good Luck!

  2. I'm on a diet too, and I'm a stay at home wife. A lot of times people say it should be easier, but for me it is a lot harder. Temptation is everywhere and the food is available, as when I would be at work, I'd have some distraction.

What motivates me is my husband, who really doesn't need to lose weight is very supportive, and is cutting back on the junkfood. In the morning I wake up, and go for a walk with my dog. I'm really not fit, so I do what I can do, and that way build up to better things. Just do what you can do, otherwise you'll give up and feel like you failed if you always try to do things beyond your limit (which I always did) and at night I do the same walk with my husband and we run some parts of it.

What you should do is always keep yourself busy. Because of my healthier diet I feel like I have a lot more energy. And if you feel like you need support, there's a lot of online communities where you can share your story or struggles. It can be very helpful, if you don't really have anyone around. I hope this helps you out a little bit !

PS : I did this really stupid thing, but I'll share it with you anyway. The thing that always made me go on a diet, was seeing pictures of my friends in gorgeous outfits, and old pictures of myself in clothes that don't fit me anymore. I saved those pictures in a file on my computer, and when I feel like eating bad things, I look at those pictures. That's how I remind mysef of my goal, lol :-)

  3. Get this book " The Beck Diet" by Dr. Beck.

It will change your life and you will be sucessful.

  4. For me, sometimes I have to get out of the house! Go for a quick walk, which helps tremendously! Or i sit on the back porch & get into gratitude. Don't look at it as a failure, as long as you don't give up you haven't failed!  Keep a journal!  If you're bored, go write about your feelings and then make a list  you can look at for things you can do when bored or stressed instead of turning to food!  Put it on your refrigerator, in your purse, whatever it takes! God bless & good luck

  5. Check out Dr. Brian Wansink's book Mindless Eating.  He's done tons of experiments and he knows what he's talking about and it's a great read.

For example, changing your environment makes a huge difference over time.  SMALLER PLATES, smaller portions, and you'll still feel full.

Also, I've heard weighing yourself each morning (maybe even keeping track of it too) is also a good cue that sets your mind for the rest of the day.

  6. First if you are trying to lose weight the you have to remember to burn off more calories than you take in. I understand lack of motivation and honestly a buddy or partner would work well, someone  that you wont mind telling you get your lazy *** in gear or something to that effect to motivate you. Best of luck! Also try going to your local gym and they should have personal trainers who can help you get to where you feel comfortable.

  7. I think that motivation comes from inside. I think you have to get to a point where there is no going back to being unhealthy. Something in you clicks and you get it. That there are no other options but healthy.

  8. Three steps that have really helped me are dieting, exercising, and the correct weight loss supplement for losing weight. Focus on those three things and you will lose weight considerably. I exercise 30 mins a day along with taking Proactol, a natural weight loss supplement that I saved money on at theweightlossplace.com

Good luck and stay focused = )

  9. The website below has about four pages of motivational ideas.  The one I've linked you to works the best for me, but from there you'll see links to the other ones and they're worth reading too.  I'm like you...always looking for ways to stay motivated.  Good luck!

  10. think about when u get over weight. When u can not run, when u have high blood pressure, sugar, and long list of deceases.

    U will get automatic picture.

  11. http://www.sparkpeople.com

This site is very motivational and has helped me stay motivated and lose weight.

  12. Get naked and eat in front of a mirror.

  13. weighing scale and tape measure?

what i did was which doing some exercise, i watch discovery health. they've got a tv program (i forgot what its called) which shows how health experts helped some women loose weight. they did a before and after of their body measurements and their weight. it takes them 6 months to finish the diet/exercise and all that.
