Choose a realtor that has proven experience.  And one that you feel very comfortable with.  It is also very ok to FIRE your realtor if you are not getting the results you are wanting.  Realtor.com is a great place to start.  In many states it is Free for the buyer to purchase a home (no realtor fee) check with your state.  To make yourself a stronger buyer I would suggest you become PRE-APPROVED.  In many markets where there is multiple buyers your offer will go to the top when the sellers already know you are financed pending a property.  Plus you will then know how much house you can purchase and not get something that is over your price range or budget.  Your realtor will only show you what you can afford (or want).  Good luck.

In the Real Estate Business you are not really dealing with which company but who is the Agent. If you don't know anybody, go to Realtor.com and search for houses, when you come across any house, just call the company/agent to see the house, then if you find any good agent from there, you may stick with one.
