I'm looking into getting an Ipod Touch what is the difference from one with 2 software updates and 1 without?

One description said "8gb ipod touch" and the other said "Ipod touch with 2 software updates" what is the difference?

the second update covers both. the first one added new apps, like mail, stocks, etc. The second one covers that plus the 2.0 software allowing you to get apps for your Touch from the app store. All iPod Touches that you can buy from Apple today are equipped with the 2.0 software updates and the new apps.

I just purchased an itouch and I ran into this sitch too. When they say "2 software updates" this may mean that the itouch has been upgraded to the 2.0 software, which allows you to purchase many different applications on itunes. One without the "2 software update" is an itouch that has not yet been upgraded off of itunes. The upgrade costs about 10 dollars. So if the upgraded one costs over 10 bucks more than the plain old 8 gb don't purchase that one. It will save you money. Good luck
