  1. Love 'em.

  2. Compared to TODAY'S cars, NO. These cars are heavy, have large gas sucking engines fired by breaker point ignitions, which were very inefficient. If you need a new carb, it will cost a fortune IF you can find one.

NOT a good choice if "quality" is your main concern.

  3. Yes, Buicks are highly rated.

  4. The Buick Riviera is a beautiful and powerful car. you could expect to get between 14 and 16 miles to the gallon. Assuming it is in correct condition and well maintained.

  5. what kind of condition? There are no Online sources, they get "around" 10 mpg in town 15 or so on the highway,if you take it easy.

Buicks are big, and the late `60`s was the height of the "muscle-car" era, no one cared about economy with a Buick, gas was always cheap in the USA!

As far as quality, it`s a 40 year old car!! Quality is long gone, you have to take care of it now like an elderly parent. Watch out for hidden rust, hidden leaks, corroded electricals, obsolete glass, obsolete mechanical parts.

  6. NO HARD data. but the Rivieras were upscale on the Buick list ,BUT it's 40 years old. Buyer Bewre!
