Alright so i wanted to build my own drifting track. How many acres of land do you think would be ideal for such an idea? I was thinking about buying land (depending on how much was nessecary) and then getting some guy to throw asphalt on top of it. What do you think? Also do you know what kind of area's would allow me to do whatever the h**l i wanted to do on the land that i own? I don't want to risk going to a big public parking lot and practice drifting for fun. And then get nailed by a cop for wreckless driving, and other expensive tickets for breaking the law. I basically want to be able to "drift" legally with out paying the $150.00 fee's at the tracks in my area.

  1. A minimum of 6 acres. You need a lot of space for something like that, unless you're looking forward to a lot of wrecks and property damage.

Then, you're looking at the cost of not only throwing asphalt on it, but one would certainly hope you put up some kind of safety barricade. Which will cost money.

And finally, you run into the problem that you are not sanctioned to operated a vehicle in that manner, even on your own property, unless you have a permit to do so. Which you do not. So either you apply for that, or you very quickly get in trouble with the law.

It's funny that you don't want to spend $150, but have no problem spending tons of time, money, and effort.

    Pay the money, drift legally.
