I'm looking to buy a rug cleaner/shampooer?

and i've got a couple offers, a lot of people said the bissel proheat turbo 2 was the best of the best, and thats what im looking for. but one offer was the bissel pro heat (orginal) and another was a hoover upright steamVac plus 1000.. i'm wondering how well these machines work compared to the bissel proheat turbo 2.. and any other details about them. Thanks a lot.

I have a Bissel Pro Heat and honestly it's not that great. I wish I had of just shelled out the money and got the Rug Dr. Those things are fantastic. But don't do what my sister in law did. She squirted solution into the carpet but didn't soak it back up. She was stumped as to why her carpet was so wet and after talking to her we realized she didn't suck the water back up. I wonder how many people have done that. why don't people just read instructions? Oh and you can rent Rug Drs everywhere and see if you like them before buying one.

I would say Rug Doctor is the best home carpet steam cleaning system you can find. They're on the expensive side, but if you have or get a Kohl's credit card, every couple months they have coupons for 30% off anything. That should put the smaller unit at under $400. When I bought mine, I waited for a 30% off AND $10 Kohl's cash back for every $50 spent (usually happens closer to Christmas though). I ended up getting the larger machine for $450.
