I'm looking to buy a small second car, what should I choose?

I really need a small car to ferry around 2 small children. Plus I'd like to be able to fit a 3rd child on a booster in the rear middle seat, between the 2 car seats, for short journeys. The boot doesn't need to be huge, just big enough for a small buggy and a few essentials. I'd like it to be as small as possible for my needs, economical, cheap to run, maintain and insure, etc.

This will be a second car as we have an 807 for weekends and bigger trips.

I was thinking of the 206, fiesta, golf/polo, size. Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

  1. How about a 206, Fiesta, or Polo then? ;-)

  2. Anythind apart from a Ford.

  3. Maybe it's sufficient the C1 and an E85 conversion kit...

  4. i would suggest the golf.

  5. if you got golf down id go for golf but dont rule out something korean like a hyundai getz or japanese like the toyota yaris, or a cheeper golf alternativ the seat leon cupra or even a skoda fabia all had good reviews and i would own any of them.

  6. You cant beat a Nissan Micra. Totally reliable and very economical.
