Look in your phone book and call a piano tuner and ask him this question.  I had the same question and the piano tuner had a book where you give him the name and serial number of the piano (which is printed somewhere on the piano) and his book told the age of the piano.  I had an old upright and it turned out that it was built in 1914 in Chicago.  I also remember him giving me a website where I could look it up for myself but I don't remember the website.  

    Also, don't worry to much about the age.  My piano tuner claims the more the piano is "broke in" the better it sounds.

  4. If it is an upright, you can usually find the manufacture date when you lift up the lid to the inner workings.  There is usually some sort of little plate attached with the date or it is "engraved" somewhere on the lid.
