I'm looking for a place that rents boats/skis and equipment, as I do not own my own. It would also be nice if they had someone who could drive the boat and provide lessons. A web-site is a plus! Thank you!

  1. You're not going water skiing in L.A., the only thing you do in L.A. is fight  traffic. Now there's Castaic Lake above Santa Barbara - http://castaiclake.com

The 1st thing you need to do is figure out where you want to stay & why. You've never been there before so if you're going for a vacation you better start planning ahead & do alot more researching about L.A. Santa Barbara, to me is the best of the best, right on the ocean, beautiful, everything right there including the beach, then of course you have San Diego, Santa Monica, Ventura, Hunington Beach but you don't want to get stuck in L.A.

if you don't have to. Fact is, you better forget about the skiiing and maybe do a little body surfing in the Ocean because 1st you're going to have to plan what days to drive 3 hours to get to a lake, if you do it on the weekend you know it is going to be crowded and rentals are going to be scarce and I haven't even got into what it is going to cost. Besides, noone goes to LA to ski they go to surf, you don't drive 3 hours to the lake when the Ocean is half an hour away. Start doing some research, or talk to people who live there.
