  1. Your kidding - right ?

  2. The only thing that a pushbike and a motorbike have in common is learning how to balance.

When you are slow riding in traffic having bigger tyres will not help if you cannot remain upright on the bike.

The instructor I had insisted that you could ride a pushbike before letting you on a motorbike.

  3. It won't matter to me.

Feel free to do as you please.

    Liberty first requires choice.

Sleep in the bed you make.

  4. Would it matter?  Yes. It would matter.

There's only one way to find out if it makes a difference for you, and that's to try it. Just make sure your instructor knows you can't ride a bicycle.

  5. Some motorcycle instructors would say it's an advantage because they are completely different vehicles. But have you considered learning to ride a bicycle too? There are cycling proficiency courses that will take you through all the steps.

  6. why dont u do you CBT (complusory Basic Training) for a learner bike. they teach you how to ride a bike

  7. You could start with m/cycle training straight off, but you'd be well advised to gain at least some experience on a pushbike first. There you will learn some essentials, like remembering to put your foot down when you stop, that you ride on the left etc.  And it's less painful when you fall off . . .

  8. Kind of like you should learn to walk before you run. You don't want to be falling over on a motorcycle. Get your sense of balance on a bicycle first.

  9. motor bikes and bicycles are different on a bicycle you have thin tires so to stay straight you need to have alot of balance but on a motor bike you have much bigger tyres and so the bike keeps itself upright and if you get lessons on how to ride a motor bike you'll be fine

  10. OH MY GOD!  I can't believe you think that this WON'T be a massive problem!  How did you miss out on cycling?  Yes, you need to learn how to cycle, and having learnt in the park, you can then ride around and gain valuable road sense, of when you have priority or not, what lines to take...

Cycle, then Motorbike!  Learn to walk, then run!

  11. Learning to ride a motorcycle can be hard enough and possibly scary for a while. I'm a beginner too and I still get a little nervous riding. You have to build up your confidence with practice and a bicycle is the safest thing to start building your confidence. It's been a long time since I learned to ride a bicycle, but I remember quite a bit of falling down. I'd rather have a bicycle fall on me than a motorcycle. Plus a motorcycle is a lot more expensive if you damage it.

  12. You would have to do your CBT anyway (Compulsory Basic Training) they would show you how to ride a bike then. You would of course have to be a  certain standard to pass.

you would do better to have some lessons first.

  13. Ride the bicycle first.

(You can pretend it's a Harley.)

  14. It is better to fall off a bicycle than a motorcycle. It doesn't hurt as much.

  15. Learn to balance on a pushbike first.  It'l be cheaper in the long run.

  16. Yes, it matters. If you can't stay up on a bicycle, you won't be able to on a motorcycle. Unless you buy a trike.

  17. it wont make any difference as you are a much smal part of the whole machine on a motor bike than on a push bike as its the cenrafugal force (sorry spellings c**p) that dose the most work in keeping a bike up right its just the getting going that is the hardest purt of the ballence when you get over a 5-10 miles an houre its the oppostit ot the way you would exspet the bike keeps itself upright and you have to pull it over to change coures it's a lot easyer than you would think and it'll change your life just go for it if you need any more advice just send a message back hope it helps and you'll do fine
