I'm looking to open up a buisness, well a bake shop and I just wanted to know what I should be looking for when I do decide to open it up? I know that location is everyhing. I want something in the downtown T.O. area but everythin is so expensive. Does any one have some good areas that maybe are in the surrounding areas or somewhere thats not to expensive in the T.O? And what kinds of stuff do i have to go through such as legal and food and so on......etc?

  1. no srry but i'll b glad to work with u cuz i love anything cooking related

  2. try nb

  3. Queen Street East is an up & coming area as is the area around Jarvis & Carlton( Lots of of condos going in there). You could look around those areas.

Legal issues.....you should talk to realestate broker who deals in retail properties stuff. You might also want to get yourself a lawyer.

Food: well you want to open a bakery. Unless you plan on specializing in just cakes or pasteries......bread is always a big seller. Who doesn't love fresh bread? And of course, most of us are to lazy to bake it ourselves.

Good luck and make sure you post when you open.....I'd come see your new place.

  4. I hope to advise you what i feel is right  coz i have been in the business for now like 25 years from retail to exports .

If you know your business set up cost and how this bake shop  runs , than you are doing the right thing go ahead .May i suggest you to set up a deli shop which you could just buy and sell your daily needs for your clients plus coffee or tea to go at a low cost which will bring in the people in .

Beside all this the location in important  coz so if u do need more help pls get back to me , I would happy to suggest you some other idea which could be easy for first timers like youself.

    Good luck .
