I also need a dressmaker to make my dress. I know what I want in my head but I will need them to draw and make, does anyone know an awesome dressmaker in Perth, who is relatively cheap. (Not over $450) And I need to find a licenced venue, where it is also BYO as I want to bring kegs of beer. If anyone could help I would be extremely grateful!!!!

  1. I would really like to see you in the dress what color is it?

  2. i may have to get back to you on the dress...

but as far as finger food goes:

-woolworths do some great platters.. go into any woolies and go to the deli section, ask for a brochure of their platters... they have cheese platters, antipesto, little wraps, even salads and chicken (if you want that..) cold meats, etc

-homemade sandwiches cut into small triangles are always a winner... good simple combos are: ham cheese and mustard, curried egg, or just egg, salami and mayo, chicken and cheese..

-cooked packs of pies/sausage rolls/spring rolls/mini quiches are quick and CHEAP...

-im not sure where we got the sushi platters for mine, but ive starred your question and ill let you know tomorrow :D

    also some venues:

ocean reef marina, ocean reef - there is a building their that can be hired - i know its licensed, but not sure if you can do BYO

northshore country club, kallaroo - licensed, no BYO - but they do have a sports bar that they arrange to be tendered on the night of your party.. prices are too bad either

STAY AWAY from mulalloo surf club.. no licensing and no BYO at all.. unless your a member i think...

there is a place in Iluka - a sports club room.. huge bar.. prob no BYO - but i think you will have a hard time finding a licensed place with a bar AND BYO.. i think the function room in Beaumaris is BYO.. but no onsite bar...

also, good idea if you want is cocktail machine... lots of fun, and huge range to choose from.. easy as well.. no mixing on the night, so no worry of heavy handed cocktails :)

  3. im not sure thast licenced places would let you byo whole kegs. maybe find a place that will give you an offer on their beer. talk to  robbie at the elephant and wheelbarrow, as they do packages with food and stuff

the mustang bar might be worth a go, ask for jaye or mike

the moon and sixpence might be a go

or you can hire a hall.

woolies does great platters, and go ask at yummy bakeries and places, about mini things

for a dress maker, look in your local newspaper. the person who made my friends bridesmaids dresses was good, but she was a family friend, and i dont know her name hyhahhaha.

the yellow pages is also good
