Wondering what some of the top areas are to move? Looking to be in horse country but not to far from the beach. Also looking to be in a good size community.

  1. Virginia Beach!  Def look into the Pungo, Strawbridge, Back Bay areas.  It might be pricey but its a good city and just around the corner from the beach.

Also check Chesapeake.  This is a growing city so its cheaper then va beach but i think if you buy now it will be a good investment.  The hickory area has a lot of land and many home owners there also have horses.  Just jump on the interstate and take a 15 to 20 min ride (depending on traffic) to the beach!

  2. Sounds like Suffolk would be perfect for you! Lots of land, but still not far from the beach. It has a downtown district and it's only minutes away from the nearby cities Chesapeake, Norfolk, and Portsmouth.

Pungo is a nice district of VA Beach too. It's more rural than the tourist infested part of the city and a lot prettier. Housing will be a little more pricey than Suffolk though.
