  1. I assume that you are replacing a thread-less type fork with another thread-less.

    There are two sizes really. One inch and one and one eighth inch.

    The easiest way of finding out is to measure the steerer outside diameter. The steerer is the part of the fork that the stem bolts on to, so it wont be difficult to measure this.

    Another way is the manufacturers literature.

    If you are replacing a threaded fork with a thread-less carbon fork, the size will almost certainly be one inch. You will have to replace all the original headset bearings, cups and stuff with an ahead-set stuff. make sure the equipment is correctly fitted to the frame or the bike will not perform well.
