  1. Most resorts in Colorado close mid April so you should be looking into early April.  Some do stay open until May or even June but the snoe is really heavy and can be difficult to learn to ride if this is your first time.  Denver has MANY resorts within  an hour with great learn to ride schools.  I would recccomend Colorado just because I love to ride here.  I would reccomend Breckenridge or Keystone
