Question:

I'm looking to study in London, help?

I'm 16 years old and from the United States, and want to attend a univesity in London when I turn 18. Is this possible? The whole concept seems a bit overwhelming, so i need as much help as I can get. Where should I live in London? Is it safe? Is it going to be too expensive? etc.

Please, if you have any information regarding my situation, help me out.

Thanks,

Tyler

  1. It certainly is possible.  I'd recommend looking on www.usac.ac.uk.  UCAS is the central admissions agency which has to be applied to attend university in this country.  They should have details of all the various universities (there are many within London alone) and the courses that they offer.

As for where to live in London, it's very hard to recommend anywhere as the city is vast and your location will depend greatly on where your campus is and how much your budget is.  I'd sort out a place at university first so you know where you're going to be and then go from there.  And of course London is safe.  Yes it has crime like any other major world city, but if you adopt a common sense approach (eg. don't walk alone in dodgy areas at night) you should be fine.  And unfortunately London is very expensive, but at least it means when you visit the US you'll find everything ridiculously cheap like we do!

  2. Dont be an idiot, London does not want you.

  3. Hope you got rich folks because you will need it.

  4. Don't take notice of this Natty person! she's off her rocker!

If I were you I'd go on some of the university web sites, London is abit on the expensive side, but there are lots of unis' all over the country, Good Luck!
