I'm losing my mucus plug, constipated, and having low cramping what can this be!!?

it started with clear mucus stuff later that night a glob of stuff fell out with green in it and now its clear again...i've been feeling like i gotta p**p but its hard and want come out and i'm having mild cramping what does this mean!! ooh i'm 38 weeks last time i checked i was about 1cm dilated and 75 percent effaced!

Sounds like it might be the beginning of labor. Congratulations. The first sign of labor is to lose the mucus plug. Also to need to go to the toilet alot to clear out your bowels. The body does this when preparing for labor as you probably know there is a lot of pushing to come and you don't want anything else coming out too lol. Just try and relax at home and take it easy. You don't need to go into hospital unless you can't handle pain anymore, contractions are less than 6 mins apart or your waters break. Could still be a good few hours before things really get started. Congratulations when baby arrives x

This could be labor but it could also just be gas pains related to your constipation. The green color that you mentioned doesn't sound quiet right to me I would def check that one with your doc. Constipation is a common symptom of just being pregnant so let your doc know and maybe they can give you a quick exam to see if your progressing any. Loosing your plug doesn't necessarly mean your in labor either, it could still be quite some time! Good Luck

It might be early labor (and I hope for your sake it is!) but there's no need to rush to the hospital yet. When/IF the cramping, or contractions, are 5 minutes apart for an hour & hurt so bad theyre hard to talk through, THEN go to the hospital.

I have 3 children, but with my son I lost HUGE globs of mucus plug for days on end, sometimes even blood tinged, and nothing really happened. I had cramps and on & off for weeks, and was walking around 3cm & 75% effaced for 3 weeks Despite ALL of that (& trying everything they say to bring on labor) I wound up being induced.

Id relax, lie down, and time your progress.
