  1. Only if you want religion. You could ask yourself, is learning Religion beneficial to you?

Would it help to you towards your career?

It wouldnt for me since i want to do Medicine and research new medicines. So i would need Science and Maths.

  2. Evolutionary psychology is very interesting -- if you want to learn a subject that gives good insight into humanity, there's none better.

  3. You've thrown options so limited---ahh! How can I suggest you to quit history to accept religion or vice versa? Is it possible to continue both subjects anyhow? Because you need both (even more) for psychology.

  4. It would be a good idea if that is what you want to do. If you think learning more about religion would help you get ahead then sure. I personally take religious studies

  5. that depends on what you plan to do with this degree. If you want to go into mental health, the religion minor would come in handy because it has a very powerful effect on people. This would also be true if you are headed for the priesthood. If teaching, then I would stick with history.

  6. Do it if you want to.  Do you think people who don't know you can give you a smart reply?

  7. That would depend on you.

  8. Personally I think it would be nice. This way you'd have more 'head' knowledge than most ppl in when it comes to beliefs and such.

Again a personal thing that's up to you, but remember "Tis better to have not known, and not follow, than to have known and not followed".

  9. It really doesn't matter what you minor in.  What matters is how you think.  How you think determines how you live.  How you live determines a life well lived, or wasted.

  10. get of yahoo answers and get a job... move out of your parents house

this is why you need a job... get into the real world, loosen up, find the meaning of humour, dont be so sensitive

are you playing the victim? why would you tell me about your parents? wake up, i dont care.. it was a bored person trying to amuse himself and you took it to heart

  11. Its totally up to you and what you're interested in. Another idea: You can do Psychology as your major and Sociology as your minor. Sociology covers religion as well.

  12. NO.....more job opportunities in history fields

  13. Don't waste your time. At least you'll get an unbiased look at REAL history. Religion is hours of work, homework, studying, propaganda, the start of it, the reasons for it, for what? In the end, what does it matter? It's like spending hours doing someone's hair when they're just going to take it down after the ceremony.

  14. Don't .

A University education is all about improving your mind. It is about learning by questioning. It is about using your brain to rationalise and to come to an understanding through logical thought processes. Religion is the antithesis to this. Religion is all about meekly accepting the words of people blinded by 2 millenia of  propaganda

  15. It depends whether you're planning on just studying one religion or if you intend to study a variety of them.

    I would favour the latter.

But history is important as well - you can't know where you're going if you don't know where you've come from.
