I know how to make the noodles and I'm pretty sure how to make the sauce, if you can help with that it would be appreciated but how should I do the shrimp? I'm not sure how I should make the dish

  1. saute them in butter and garlic.  Don't boil them or they will come out tough.

  2. Make your pasta, make the sauce. Saute shrimp lightly in butter or olive oil, garlic and white wine then toss everything together.

  3. Dear Nick,

Saute your shrimp in a little Olive Oil, butter, garlic, fresh lemon juice, white pepper and white wine. Get your pan hot and have everything there on hand, because this process will go quite quickly.  Fresh chives or scallions would be a wonderful addition to your Shrimp Fet. Alfredo, but if you don't have them, then that's fine. Once your Shrimp starts to turn pink, add your pasta to the dish, toss it around for a minute or two, then add your sauce.  Once it's all mixed together and hot, (please don't burn your Alfredo Sauce) you're done!  The secret to putting this dish together is not overcooking the shrimp and getting all of these things in the pan quickly, cooked evenly and adding flavors at the right time, that's sauteing!  But, it's such fun, fresh, and to me, heaven! I hope this step by step description didn't offend you, I just want you to have the best dinner that I know you can cook!

  4. grill the shrimps with salt and pepper (and garlic if you like), grilling them in a stove grill pan gives variation in terms of taste, texture and way of preparation.

  5. All the previous ans. are good,  Primary rule-Don't overcook the shrimp.

  6. From:

    12 oz. fettuccine noodles

    16 oz. heavy cream

    1 tbsp. garlic, minced

2 c. fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Black pepper to taste (fresh ground, if possible)

Optional ingredients: Cooked broccoli, mushrooms or boiled & peeled 10-15 med. shrimp

Boil fettuccine noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse noodles with cool water to prevent them from clumping together. Set fettuccine aside. At the same time, boil heavy cream and garlic on low to medium low until half the amount of cream is boiled off, approximately 10-15 minutes. Next add 1 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese and fettuccine (also add any optional ingredients at this time). Cook until noodles are warm, about 2-3 minutes. Top with remaining Parmesan cheese and black pepper. Serves 4.

  7. you can buy the pre-cooked shrimp. once you stir the sauce and the noodles together in a pan, add the pre-cooked shrimp and stir about 3-5 minutes. or add the uncooked shrimp [shell or no shell] into the sauce. and let it sit in the pan that way the shrimp can cook. and then just add it onto the noodles. to get that "shrimp" alfredo or "chicken" alfredo, you just have to add the ingredient to it and that is how it becomes the name of it.
