Birthdays

Every year

one day is special

you meet with family

for a great celebration

a birthday to enjoy

turning one year older

but on some occasions

it may not be so pretty

people have bashes

people have parties

but i know most people

just celebrate with family

It's one night a year

there could be no fighting

everyone full of cheer

and it's delighting

I love these days

cause they are the times

my family is right

we have cake and ice cream

and sometimes a party

but as we get older

these days will be priceless.

the thought of giving ur niece a card with a poem shows that u are a sweet but sensible person. Ur caring doesnt begin and end with material things, WHY NOT WRITE A POEM FOR UR NIECE urself. Let ur heart dictate. Use the language most comfortable for u. Ur niece will surely be happy. She wont forget this gift in her entire life. This will even set a legacy.
