I'm making a video, but the problem is I don't know how to make a twin of myself/ Any vid. editing tips?

Yeah. I don't have a twin or enough crew, so instead of just showing one character at a time I want to show them simultaneously, but the problem is I don't know how do that with any editing videos. Any hints or tips would really help!

actually i did a little how to on youtube that should be good for you.

his is how i did it:

roll one take with a locked off camera showing one empty chair and one occupied. split the clip (in this case LHS and RHS)

using FCP i overlayed the left hand side clip on top of the rhs. crop either left or right side only.

crop it to about half way. you should see both characters on the screen.

time your dialogue so they match.

you may also notice that my eyeline was not quite there. keep that in mind next time.
