I'm making cupcakes for Beach/Tropical Party

Try blue, pink, green, icing for the cupcakes. Yo umight find fish sprikles. You can use gold fish in bowls also, i think they have the different colored ones now. you can look for  mini umbrellas too. good luck.

9 year olds aren't likely to be very adventurous about trying unusual things, so stick with a basic recipe and bring the Tropics in with decorations.

Go for things like sprinkles and little umbrellas, or small gummy fish. Maybe dye the icing blue and sprinkle a couple fish on each one.
