I know I would be breaking Russian law as Im already married in UK , but am I also doing the same in UK ? Does English system cares what do I do abroad ? THANK YOU !

  1. Married twice, wherever you are, is bigamy, except if you're a sheik with forty wives or whatever the average is.

  2. of course you'd be breaking the law

where are you going to be living? ... if you want to live in the UK yes of course you'd be likely to be charged if anyone found out ... and even if you weren't living in UK you would still be breaking the law but if you're not here it's kind of difficult for them to arrest you

and if you wanted to bring your new Russian husband into the UK and claim residence for him, they're bound to check up and find out that your previous marriage was not dissolved

  3. Yes, you are breaking the law of UK if you marry again before your current marriage has been dissolved.  This is valid whether the 2nd marriage takes place in the UK or in another country.

If you have been separated for 5 years, you can petition for divorce without your husband's agreement.  The process is simple and you don't require a lawyer as long as you can agree the financial separation of assets.
