and answer. So if I put a change of address in at the post office we'll the companies (I don't want to know my new address) find out my new address if my mail is being fowarded? How do I make sure the companies don't find out my new address?

You should get a P O Box

If you're trying to hide from someone, the best thing to do is not fill out a change of address form with the post office.  Then, notify only those companies that you want to of your new address.

do it the slow way at least that way you have no worries

except i bet you move in to a place where the people you don't want to know you alraedy live
