I'm moving from California to Texas. It's about a 20+ hour drive. How do I get my 9-month-old Red Ear Slider Turtles to our new home safely?

  1. Heres a detailed description of how to transport turtles:

good luck with your move and your pets!

  2. A large styrofoam box might be obtained from a tropical fish dealer that has just gotten a shipment. Line the bottom with something that will hold enough water to keep the humidity high (burlap sack, sphagnum moss ...). Put the turtle on the wet substrate and keep it out of the sun. Renew the water when (if) you stop for the night.
