I'm moving back to Australia?

I haven't been there in over 7 years :|, and I was wondering what the High School subjects are.

I'm 15, and moving back to Perth maybe this year or next.

I'm currently living in Scotland, and I know a few of the subjects are different and some of the Scottish subjects i.e Modern Studies are obviously not in the curiculum over there.

Yeah, so anyway what are the subjects you can choose from?

  1. The base subjects for the junior years are:

    - English

    - Maths

    - Science

    - Geography

    - History

    plus 2 electives for years 9 and 10.  If its a relgious school, you need to add religion to the list.

    In the senior school the only compulsory is English.


  2. You also have courses which aren't TEE involved and you go to school 4 days a week and do SWL (Structured Workplace Learning) 1 day a week

    At my school we have:

    Business Studies

    Marine Studies

    Recreation Studies

    Metal & Wood Work Studies

    Hospitality Studies

    Some schools may be different but alot do ^^

    Also depends what year you are going into and if you want to go to UNI

    The following subject combinations are not acceptable in relation to the calculation of the TER.  Both subjects may be taken but the result in only one may be used to calculate a TER.

    Discrete Mathematics and Applicable Mathematics

    Discrete Mathematics and Calculus

    English (TEE) and English Literature

    Indonesian: Advanced and Indonesian: Second Language

    Indonesian: Advanced and Malay: Advanced

    Japanese: Advanced and Japanese: Second Language

    ***No School offers all the courses - You might have to attend more than one High School to do your preferred subjects - Due to a lack of teachers many schools do not offer a Tertiary Entrance Exam course, and only offer vocational education instead***
