The biggest bin that I have to get there is a plastic tub. I'm moving into a furnished apartment, so I just need my personal effects and clothing. I don't think it'll be over 130-140 lbs when it's all said and done. I'm flying, and the bins will come after me in a few months. I've done a few google searches, but other than UPS, nothing really caught my eye. I'd really appreciate help in the right direction.

  1. I don't know if moving companies such as

United Van Lines, Allied, or Mayflower handle such

small shipments, but it wouldn't hurt to inquire.

UPS, Fedex, and USPS can all do it - just shop by price.

The other answerer's mention of Greyhound is a good suggestion too.  Someone would have to deliver them to a station and  you'd have to go pick them up at a station, but it could be the lowest cost option.

You'll want to put that plastic tub in a cardboard box to prevent it being broken.

  2. You could also use the US postal system.   Greyhound does shipping too.  I have no idea about pricing compared to UPS.

  3. Another option is dhl. Sometimes they are cheaper than ups and  fedex. The post office is also pretty reasonably priced.
