  1. This tourism site will give you some info about the province

Each province handles their own educational system but generally Public Schooling in Canada runs from Grade 1-12 (1-8 Primary and 9-12 Secondary or High School) and following that Diploma you enter a trade school, community college or university.   High School diplomas usually require a certain number of credits from each study area. I think you will have to review with the admissions dept. of the school you plan to attend to determine what your UK education will yield here in terms of credits.

Good luck on the move. (and stay away from that Newfie Screech  (160 proof booze)!!

  2. check out their listing that I am providing.

  3. You should be fine. There isn't a state exam system in Canada. Everything goes on your yearly grades.

Here's a suggestion: you need to learn up about Canadian geography and history, because your fellow students will have been studying these since they were young. Get some library books from the children's section about Canada, history and geography and read them. These books may be young for you so you can get through a lot of them.

And lucky, lucky you to be coming to Newfoundland!
