I will be living overseas because I am marrying a foreigner and I have a car loan of 17 k that I am currently paying.

My problem is that I am leaving the US for a few years (dont know how many) and I cant afford to keep paying for a d**n car I wont even drive anymore.

What would happen to me if I turn it in?

  1. If the car is worth lees than the car loan, sell the car and payoff the difference.

If the car is worth more than the car loan, sell the car. Why keep a car if you are not sure if you will use.

Do not turn it in. That is a voluntary repo.  That will be a mark on your record.
