  1. f*ck you statswaters; Brisbane is a great place to live....warm all year round compared to Sydney or Melbourne and a great place to raise a family with lots of parks and walking tracks.

I would try the Northside of Brisbane. Even try as far north as 'North Lakes'. Its a bit out of town but a very nice area....Mango Hill (near North Lakes) is also a great place!

good luck house hunting and enjoy!

  2. fig tree pocket -but it's exy

    indooroopilly

    chapel hill

    forest lake

don't live in inala (aka boganville) or woodridge

  3. I live in banyo. DON'T come to banyo.

  4. Mango Hill / Griffin. On the northside of Brisbane about 35 minutes from the city by road. There is a train nearby and a bus. It is new with new schools, shops, library, there is something there for everyone from birth to death. It is the fastest growth area in Australia I think 22% growth between 2006 and 2007.  It is huge and is getter bigger and bigger.  There are a lot of people moving there from overseas that I talk to at the shops.

Go the google earth and have a look at the shopping centre North Lakes or Northlakes. There is everything you could want there..

Good luck. Welcome and come on down.

  5. here's a tip- don't live in West End- it's where all the strange ppl r- one drive thru the streets and you'll see them.

    if you are chinese: sunnybank

    if you are vietnamese: inala

    if you are rich: brookfield

if you are a public transporter: yeronga

if you are a retiree: calamvale, algester, parkinson

if you are fond of riding a bike: brisbane city

    hope this helps :)

  6. Move to Inala, or Woodridge

    Really nice places ..hehe

    You can meet some locals...

There is usually quite alot of action goin on around there

    And alot of sirens..

Hope you have a good time whereever u are goin

    GO TO ALGESTER WOOOT

  7. depends on what you want to spend indroopilly/kenmore/chelmer area is nice

  8. Somewhere in the Western Suburbs. Toowong, Taringa, Indooroopilly, Kenmore. All are very green and leafy and have heaps of character. The first 3 are on the train line if that's of use to you. All are handy to the University of Queensland.

  9. Northside or inner western suburbs are the best places I think.

Avoid the southside... especially Logan, Woodridge, Springwood, Beenleigh, Ipswich etc... they are very dodgy!!
