I'm moving to Brussels with my wife. How secure the place was and wat about the cost of living and food detail

Cost of living in Belgium in general ... we can not afford the same luxuries we could in the UK even though we have a slightly higher income.  Food is considerably cheaper in the Netherlands (only a half hour ride away).  A water boiler cost me £4.99 in Tesco in England.  In Belgium a similar would cost me about 50 Euros.  Same goes for most electronic goods..

I live in rural West-Vlaanderen and can't tell you much about Brussels for the rest.

Brussels is a very safe, and open city. The cost of living can be high in some places. But is usually the same as America, or a little lower. It has a low crime rate, but in Brussels they have their own red-light district and goverment run brothels, so I'd stay out of that side of town.
