I'm a 21-year-old guy, what are the best ways for me to get to know girls? And make friends with girls and guys of course. Of course it would be easier at undergrad school because of dorms and stuff like that but what about grad school? Will it be really easy to make friends and adjust and have fun? What are some of the best ways to do that?

  1. Classes.  You'll meet people in your classes.  And work.  If you are working.  And coffee shops, and bars.  Pick one place to hang out, and you'll get to know the other regulars.  I used to always go to the same coffee shop, between my classes and my parking spots on campus, and then, when I was student teaching, I asked one of the kids where to go, and they sent me to this great little shop just off the main drag.  I always went to the same places, and got to know the people.

Then again, I'm pretty open and talkative. That helps.

  2. It depends on whether you are going to DU or CU.  DU is a private school in the south side of Denver.  There are dorms and a lot of private apartments around the area that students rent.  CU is located in the downtown area.  Most students attending CU grad school are working so they tend to take classes in they may live anywhere in the metro Denver area.  There is no dorms for CU and there is not much housing around it because it is downtown.  Whichever school you are going to, you might want to go look at their bulletin board to see there is rent-to-share ads.  That's usually a good way to get you going and meet people.  Once school starts, you will meet people everywhere and people in Denver are mostly very nice.
