  1. Google the township you are relocating to.  LI is very large.  Being it is surrounded by water all water activities are available. Plenty of party places.  Expensive and crowded.

  2. The best thing to do on Long Island is go into New York City. There is nothing to do on Long Island itself except the mall and beach.

  3. long island is a pretty large place so it all depends o n what town and county youre moving to

    theres:

nassau county, which is the more populated county, where you can find all the malls you could ever ask for, a short commute to the city by train, small downtowns with movie theatres, restaurants, and some nightlife, places worth going to are rockville centre, glen cove, roslyn, garden city, and then theres beaches all over the place, the one i recommend is jones beach because its not as built up as a lot of the others.

suffolk county is less populated is has shopping centers and malls up until the forks, for nightlife riverhead and port jefferson are downtowns to check out. then if you go more east theres two forks, one with the hamptons, and montauk and the other with orient point, those forks have small towns and some of the nicest beaches on long island, i recommend westhampton beach

  4. Long Island is big. Usually people go to the beaches there are certain ones to just hang out at or walk the boardwalk or surf and go to the city. It's a nice place to live but people just don't know how to drive.
