I need to find in Mexico, but I don't know where to look, I'm looking for a place where they need bilinguals, or trilinguals in my case(Spanish/English/French), I was thinking of maybe a hotel or something, but I don't know.

Im 18, and plan on going to college in Mexico. Any help would be highly appriciated.

Thanks.

  1. Check hotels and resorts that cater to Canadians.

  2. Tourism, restaurants, hotels

  3. I am trilingual as well and live in Guadalajara Mexico.

Your question does not say where you are coming, ( US or Canada I am assuming), from but the best chances for you to find work will be in Mexico city due to its cosmopolitan nature or Cancun due to the tourist trade there.

It is almost impossible to work and attend a credited university in mexico as the student visas do not allow work.  Although the cost of living in Mexico can be considerably lower than the US or Canada, the wadges are as well.

I have worked here in a call center but have found it basically impossible to find work in my area of study and expertise.   (International Business, with over 10 years experience in High Tech sales and Marketing)

I do not know the circumstances that are bringing you to Mexico but I would consider a different country that may have more possibilities for you and make the move to mexico once you have some experience and savings.

In my case I did university studies in France while working.  Spain would be another consideration.

    Best of luck

Finding a Job in GDL and being approved by immigration for is fairly easy in call centres and teaching English if you come from an English speaking country.    I have done it a couple of times.  (Finding a job you LIKE is quite a different story) .  I mexcio I have worked with Canadians, Americans, Austrailians  and people from the UK.

  4. You would need to apply for a student visa to attend college in mexico and be able to shoe proof of enough money to pay your tuition and support yourself.  it is nearly impossible  for a foreign citizen to work legally in Mexico.  you must find an employer to give you a job and write a letter to immigration stating he cannot find a Mexican for that job.  That means you must have higher education and a much needed job skill...work visas are NOT granted for low skill jobs.  There are many bilingual Mexican citizens who need jobs..more than the tourist hotels can use.  I live in Mexico and know university educated, bilingual Mexicans who are working as store clerks because that is the best job they can find.  If the job market in Mexico was good, why do you think so many Mexicans go to the U.S. and Canada to work?  The job market is horrid and pay is VERY low. Most jobs in Mexico pay  less than $10.00 a day...often less..unless you are a politician.  Sorry, but you will not be able to get a work visa, or support yourself and attend university.  You can make far more money working in  your home country.  Do that, save up, then apply for a student visa when you can afford to attend university in Mexico.
