I'm moving to the city and just leased a car this past March?

There is only on-street parking where I'm moving to, any advice on taking good care of it? What if a plow hits it?? Does the city compensate for stuff like that? And salt trucks..? I heard it's good to get it waxed right before winter, I will do that. Any advice for "digging" myself out of the snow when we get a lot? Any sort of advice for this situation, if you are in it, or know anyone that's been in this situation, would be great to talk to. Thanks! :-)

  1. What situation? You're worried about nothing. Is it an Aston Martin or a Rolls or something? Relax.

  2. Where I live we have on street parking ban when there is a lot of snow forecasted. So if you areparked there, you'll get towed and fined and any damage is your responsibility. If you do get hit it will be up to you to prove the city did it, submit a claim and it will take  along time to clear and here is  avery good chance you will lose because the city has to clean the streets to make commuter traffic easy which is more important than you, the many outways the few.

To dig yourself out you'll have to make sure to get up pretty early that snow is gonna be compacted and heavy get yourself a good shovel and dig. We had alot of snow the past winter. 1 bad dumping we got I was snowed in the parking area in my complex and it took me 2hrs to get enough snow off and away from my car to get out, thank god it was the weekend and I wasn't planning on going anywhere I just wanted it aff my car for the next day as more was coming.
