I'm nervous (Can you tell me what i should do?)?

My friend told me that she will tape me singing and put it on youtube and stuff but i'm scared and i don't know if i can do it i can't rly sing in front of anybody but for some reason when the song starts i sometimes can....so when the song starts should i just do it no matter what?? help!

If you don't want to, then don't.

But if you do, just close your eyes and pretend that no one else is there, and that you're in the shower washing your hair and singing along to the number one song on the radio.

Do you want your voice to be heard on youtube? If you kinda do, maybe she can just put the audio on a video and the video won't actually show you singing. I think you can cut the visual and just leave the audio. And you'll still be able to hear you sing when you watch the video.

Who cares what everone else thinks! Just be yourself and have fun with it!!! But, if you really feel uncomfortable about it, you don't have to do something you don't feel comfortable about! Hope I Helped You!!!

There are a ton of videos on youtube. The chances that a lot of people will watch your video is slim, unless you can sing really well or are spectacularly good looking.

Nobody's gonna know who you really are, so don't be nervous.  And if you're confident with your voice, go for it.  And when you start to sing, just pretend the camera isn't there.  It's natural for people to get camera shy, just relax and sing like you would any day.  Plus, you might be better than you expected and other people will be able to see that;)  So give it a shot, if you mess up, try again until it works out right, you can record it as many times as you want before actually putting it on youtube.  Good luck!

don't worry lol. You tubes foully of people. this means different opinions. i mean i put videos of me on the guitar on it, i was nervous but once you do the first one you gain confidence. You can do this. if your nervous about people seeing you, turn the light off and sing, they'd only her your voice then.
