I'm nervous about Cheerleading Tomorrow.

Okay, I've been a Cheerleader all my life, well since I was 5.

I'd say I'm pretty good.

I start on a new team tomorrow.

I don''t really know what to expect.

My old team (in New Jersey)

Placed 2nd in the Nation at the National competition.

I take Cheerleading very seriously.

I'm not sure if My new team (in South Carolina)

Is as serious.

I really want to fit in.

I don't know any of these girls, or anything about the team.

Any help, advice, suggestions?

Thanks so much =]

  1. I would just roll with the punches as to how competitive they are, but when they are having the Q & A with you (Where are you from? How long have you been doing cheer? etc...) make sure to note that your last team was very competitive and mention the 2nd place finish (ooooohs and aaaaaahs) and let them know thats why you might be a little intense at times.

  2. i agree; still take it seriously, and if they dont, maybe you will inspire everyone else to take it seriously and maybe that team will make it to nationals, if they dont already.

    good luck!

  3. be yourself and take it seriously even if they don`t. =)

  4. Okay, that sounds just like the problem I had when I moved. Do not change your seriousness about cheerleading, tell them how you feel about it so they will understand. Because i will promise you being serious won't hard your team it will only make it better. So bring something new to the plate. Actually they would probably look up to you because you have set your name in ceerleading as 2nd place nationals.  But remember you can still be serious and have fun. Play round and joke when it's appropriate. You have nothing to worry about. Good luck. = ]
