So i live in Canada right now and I'm 14. Going into grade 9 in Canada. But in Grade 10 I'm going to England to go to Boarding School.

I was really siked and now I'm nervous. Because I'm going off to England the education there is different. They are like O-level tests and stuff.

Anyways I'll think I'll get there and I won't no anybody. Everybody will have friends. Also, there like a year ahead and i'll miss the first half of O-level test preparation. So i'll be way behind.

Does anybody have any advice of encouragment to me going off to England for Boarding School? Any Tips or Advice? I'm really nervous.

  1. What an amazing opportunity!  I can understand you being nervous though.  Are there any books or computer programs that you can self study for the first half of O-level test prep?  I would spend this year learning as much as possible about the culture you're about to enter.  If possible, see if you can meet up via social networking sites (Facebook, Myspace) with people that will be in your class at your new school.  Mostly, enjoy this school year... you won't be leaving for quite a few months.  Tell yourself not to worry about next year until it gets closer.  Good luck!

  2. you should feel priviledged. an english public school education! it is very easy making friends in a boarding. just be polite and helpful and u will be ok. as far as studies are concerned, just do the best you can. the exposure itself is education enough.

  3. Yes, better brush up on your spelling.
