  1. Are you a girl? If you are then all the girls will be rubbish ,and you don't need to run to be a good rugby player

  2. Practice is going to teach you a lot.  Be sure to wear a mouth guard and listen to your coach. Don't let your hair get grabbed. Your coach and upper classwo/men will guide you.  There are many roles to play.  Good for you to pick a sport that bigger girls are useful.  HAVE FUN

  3. dont worry about it i dont know how big you are but it sounds like you would make a good frontrower because frontrower dont need to do very much running but you need good strength to push in the scrum you dont need to get in shape but you will need to tone whatever fat you are carrying into usable muscle by eating alot of high protein food like meat and fish and cutting your intake of carbs also 15 minutes a day on a treadmill or cross trainer would help along with a weight training session every 3 or 4 days in a gym would also be beneficial, finally see a personal trainer/dietician i hope i have helped you in answering your question and good luck for the footy season

  4. it's not that bad,

but if you want to get in shape by tomorrow, I'd say it's impossible,  sorry mate!

  5. If u are really big, then you can play as a forward, where running doesn't matter, just get the running over with and make sure u play in the forwards. you'll hav to play is scrums and line-outs, but u dont hav to run well to be a good player.

  6. never be nervous about playing the game. If you nervous then you wont succeed in rugby. Show courage and you half way there.

The good thing about big is that you able to tackle anyone and have an advantage as a front rower. They pretty much determine how  the rest of the team can play. Front rowers dont have to be ultimately fast, they just have to be smart and strong.

TO improve your fitness, do simple exercises, like jogging ont he spot for a prolonged time. Do exercises such as sit ups, crunches, squats, and short distances of running in quick bursts. I used to play rugby and I'm a skinny bloke. I wasn't the fastest bloke too and i used to get out run by many. But i improved my technique and approach to the game, and i eventually got captain. The only way you gonna get faster is by practicing sprints and so on so forth. Keep exercising and doing workouts and youll eventually get faster and stronger. The main thing about rugby is technique. Work on your technique in tackling, passing and running and you already a better player, no matter the size. Also drink plenty water and eat healthy.
