i dont know how to do the home page thing, and i feel so stupid

At the top of your internet page click on...

If you use Mozilla

Tools > Options > Main > then paste www.yahoo.com into the home page bit

If you use Internet Explorer

Tools > Internet Options > General > then paste www.yahoo.com into the home page bit

u mean setting your home page to yahoo,google..etc..etc.? Just go to the top toolbar, select tools, internet options, and under address, type in the hompage link..example : http://www.yahoo.com
