  1. A Realtor® is a licensed real estate agent (or broker)  who has joined the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® .

A licensed broker runs a real estate office of licensed real estate agent(s). Usually, either everyone or nobody in an office is a Realtor® .

In the past only Realtors®  had access to the local MLS (multiple listing service) but with the Internet almost all listings are on line, the value of using a Realtor® is unclear.

  2. Simplest form - Broker is the babysitter of all the Realtors in the office.

He is as liable if they s***w up as they are. Generally speaking you have to be a Realtor for 2 yrs before you can be a broker. They should have taught you the "legal logistics" of this in real estate school.
