I'm new to blu-ray. i live in southeast asia. if i buy a regional player, will i be able to play American B-R?

i'm more interested of buying american blu-rays as they have more titles. can anyone help?

First, just to be clear, you can't play any Blu-ray disks on a "regular player" (in case you mean DVD player) ... you must have a Blu-ray player.

Second, US Blu-ray disks may be region coded (some are/some are not -- See link), and if so they won't play on an Asia coded Blu-ray player.  If you intend to play mainly US disks you should consider buying a US coded player (or look into a region unlocked player)
