I'm new to soccer what can i do to prepare myself?

ok well next year i want to play for my high schools soccer team and one problem i'm very new to soccer

all i want to know is what can i do to prepare myself to become better at soccer i played a few times on teams but dropped out after a few months.

  1. juggling the ball is a great way to sure up your first touch. you need to be able to control a ball in all sorts of situations and have it just happen without thinking about it. this will only come with lots of practice with a ball.

    you need to be physically fit to play football, but more importantly you need control and reflexes and juggling will help you with both of those. try juggling the ball at knee height or lower alternating between your left and right foot. to start off with, let the ball bounce after every touch and before long you'll know just how to hit it to get it where u want it, then cut out the bounce in between. hope this helps.


  2. Run every day to condition yourself (there is alot of running required in soccer)

    Go get some friends and play soccer at a park

    The more you play the better you get

    well not "always"

    but wherever u can play soccer

    and run wit the ball

    and kick it against a wall

    throw in the air and learn how to control the ball

  5. well first of all you should learn the controll of the ball. u can do this by  spending some time with a ball.. try to learn how, where and how hard to kick it. try kickin on a wall. thats the best practice...and try to play as much soccer as u can.....

  6. kick some balls. run few miles. head some balls. try to juggle the ball.
