The only way to make money blogging is to have advertisers pay you to advertsie on your blog.

However, no advertisers would really want to do this, unless you could prove to them that your bog was read by tons and tons of people (for example perezhilton.com is a very successful blog.)

The average person could not really make money blogging if all they did was publicize their diary online.

You can make a little money blogging, however its very hard at first.

1. You will need to study about writing blogs on the internet. Which is basicly changing your writing style to input keywords as many times as possible

2.You have to make the blog which is pretty easy. You need to be blogging about something that users are searching for and you have a good amount of knowledge about.

3. Now for the money part. When your blog is new, you can pick up advertisers though clickbank.net, shareasale.com,  ebay.com, amazon.com, and google adsense. Anyone can use these type of ads because you are only paid when your ads are clicked, or a purchase is made.

Learning about blogging and how to get traffic to your blog while you are "new" is great. I commend you for that. Blogging successfully is an acquired skill.  Despite what the self proclaimed gurus claim, may fail to make a significant income through blogging and the ones who are making it big often work as a team. Some and many bloggers pay people to write their copy as well. With all this said, it is necessary to study blogging and how to get the traffic prior to getting started. It greatly increases the chances of success.  Don't be sucked in by the "gurus" who claim to hold the secret. The real secret there is none. The skills of blogging can be learned through study and practice on your own.
