If I train and practice a lot. I somehow doubt that I'll be able to if those who are born fast train and practice as much as I do. Don't tell me to practice more than the other guy, cause we're already practicing a lot.

  1. if ur losing a race shoot them in the back of the leg then u can beat anyone

  2. Maybe, maybe not.. There's no definitive answer since it depends on how

"good" or "bad" both of you were born and how much training both of you do. If you're both training the same amount, you probably won't ever win. That's the harsh reality of the situation.

Practice & training can only take you so far before your genetics kick in.

  3. I was a terrible runner when I was younger. Up til 8th grade I couldn't do a mile under 9 minutes. Or maybe I din't really want to, I'm not sure. I was always good at speinting though. Long legs I guess.

By my Freshman year I was running a mile in under 6 minutes.

Why? What are your times and your goals? Are you racing? If not, then don't stress. Focus more on stamina. I have a friend who does the western states every year and though she's not that fast, Holy omigawd! That's 50 miles of punishment

There's definitely some genetic advantage, but practice does help.

  4. one of those "motivational" posters on the wall of one of my classrooms said "Hard work beats talent when talent won't work hard." So sure, if you work hard you have a chance to beat the more naturally talented. Especially if they rely only on their talent and don't work.

  5. become a long distance runner or do something else, for example i dont run fast but i ice skate like the wind, my muscles are just tuned better for that, also if you want speed, do gleut workouts. like holding 25 lbs in each hand and jump from a crouched position, or do lunges with extra weight.

  6. It depends, you may not be tapping into your own talent as much as you think you are. If this is so, you may beat them, otherwise, you probably won't. I'm sorry, I am in the same boat, I ran 3 years of track and was running a 5:38 mile.. then I went on the internet and read that Lance Armstrong could do way better than that the first time he ever did a trial (when he was in like 7th grade or something young like that) and I looked up some other good athletes. It made me very sad.

You may not be practicing as smart as the other athletes, eating right and sleeping is important. Also running your warm up and stretching correctly can help loads. Look up isometric stretching, it will help you get faster, even faster.

I know it seems hopeless and theres no point.. it's true there isn't, but I do it so that nobody can ever say I'm unsuccessful because I didn't work hard enough.

  7. just a buy a car, dude !

  8. Mike is that you you jerk! You still owe me 5 bucks from when i bought you that french hooker

  9. yea, all u need to is practice, practice and practice, because practice makes it perfect
