  1. There has to be a way to solve this problem. Have the counselors ever asked you what type of work you would like to do. There vocational programs that really could help you out. Lets say you wanted to be a mechanic great but lets learn something about mechanics. They could teach how to this. There are any number of jobs they could teach you. This would be hands on experience. This may just what you need to do. At the same time you would receive your high school education. If they do not have these programs at your school try to be transfered to a high school that does. The best of luck to you.

  2. Most people I know who failed last year at my school were people who always played around and talked. If that is the case with you, than just buckle down and get serious. Just focus in school, and play around outside of school.

If you are really having academic problems though, than see if you can get a tutor or something. Most schools have some variations of a tutoring program.

  3. try to stay more focused this year.

go to tutoring whenever you can

  4. First of all, it is great that you're reaching out for answers like this!  It is hard to answer this question without knowing your past educational history. So in order to answer I will need to assume that you are a typical student with normally average grades but who is right now struggling with high school.  While quite costly. Sylvan or Huntington are excellent services to introduce students to effective study skills. In addition, it is really important to find a regular place and time dedicated to your studies everyday. It should be well lit, quite, free of distractions. Don't be afraid to ask questions and ask for additional help. Most teachers appreciate it so much when a student shows they really want to achieve something. They face a classroom everyday and never know if they are just speaking to the walls or if anyone is actually listening and getting something out of what they are saying. If you show an interest, ask questions they will be your greatest allie.  They school may have free tutors available, find out and use them.  Also, don't allow friends, sports or outside activities keep you from succeeding.  At some point those friends will either graduate or drop out.  You are really hanging in there.  That tells me that you have the strength, and desire to graduate and achieve.  I wish you all the luck in the world and hope this answer has helped you in some way.

  5. hi i read ur problem n i think u should do this, focus on school and ONLY SCHOOL, im going into highschool this yr and i do very well in school, so get ur studying rite, and try ur best, also try 2 get sum tutoring

  6. agree with dreamz.  you just need to buckle down and get your head into school and only pull it out again for meals. set up a serious study place in your room.  a desk with room for everything you need (paper, pens, pencils, erasers, felts, rulers, post-its, graphing paper, calculator, stapler, calendar, etc), make sure that at all times, this area stays clean and organized.  make sure you have adequate lighting in this area.  don't put the desk facing a window or a poster, blank wall would be best.

make a schedule for yourself that, for example, you will spend at least 1 hour on homework every day after school (plus any extra time you need to on weekends).  this means that right when school is out, you go home, plop down at your desk, pull out your homework, and don't leave until it's done. don't ever put it off or else you will get into that habit of pushing it later and later and before you know it, you'll be trying to finish homework in 3 subjects at 1am.

try looking into tutors, try to sit next to the nice smart kids (notice the "nice" part) in your classes and ask them for help when you can, always ask the teacher again if you don't understand something (but feel free to wait until the end of class or the day). little things like this but like i said at the start, just keep your head wrapped around school.

    good luck

  7. Talk to the counselors. If you have already talked to them, do it again. Make sure that you are taking classes that you can handle, and find any tutoring resources available. If you can't find anything at the school, ask at the library and the local YMCA. If that doesn't work, have your folks put an ad in the paper for a tutor. But you have to work hard. You can do it!

  8. wow you suck at life...stop being retarted and do good.......its not that hard......yes it is but still....
