She is a bit narky but has settled really well, we're just giving her loads of time to trust us.... she's 6???

  1. 1 feather! stop worrying hun, my grey has loads of lose feathers they often fall out when preening, shes probs moulting, but even if she isnt she will get the odd lose feather, i noticed youve asked alot of questions thats good it shows u care x*x

  2. hi yes lovely lola is having a moult..u will see lots of downy feathers also that are little soft and white ..but she will lose these often..parrots can get very irritable when they moult moody etc..so if she seems offish when moulting it will pass ..my 2 greys are menaces when moulting..like sulking kids lol

  3. Oh, I'm sure she's fine.  If it's just one feather, I'm sure it just fell out.  If you see a ton of feathers or you notice her plucking all the time, then you may have a problem.  Just spend some time with her and give her extra love.  I loveeeee our African Grey's, he is so funny :)  Hope all goes well though!

  4. Don't worry. My grey preens his feathers alot and he is very healthy. They will pull out the ones that are dead for a new one to come in. Lori

  5. Its ok, They malt and will loose feathers and sometimes when preening she/he will also loosen some and at times pull one out.

    Don't panic it's ok.
