I'm not really getting any better at COD4; Getting worse actually. Should I keep playing or quit?

I'm level 44 and have almost all the weapons and perks, but I'm slow, people are always jumping around and shooting at the same time while I'm always crouching, shooting wildly or just a little too late and getting murdered, and the regular knives in the back don't help my confidence either. I tried playing aggressive, tried playing ghost, tried sniper, tried light machine gunner, shotgunner, and everything in between, but I'm just bad. Does anyone have any advice. Are you sure the other people aren't cheating somehow with aimbots or something even on the punkbuster servers, because sometimes it seems like the same person is on me over and over.

Try and sit back and practice your aiming, then ull be better and if is a close quarters map you should use a p90, mp5, etc. and a medium or long scale map use a m16 or sniper.. hope it helped good luck!
